Sōru koa, or as translated into English, 'Soul Core', are ancient technological wonders created by an ancient civilization that existed long before the events of Doragon Konpaku, designed to manipulate spiritual energy and convert it into various types of energy, including other soul types.
In terms of power conversion and generation, Sōru koa outmatch nuclear powerplants and even theoretical fusion reactors, and as combat enhancement devices, are among some of the most terrifying experimental weapons to have ever existed.
They are fabled to be able to turn ordinary souls into the three Great Souls, Dragon, Light, and Dark, as well as greatly enhance the already present spiritual energy into absurd levels. In the wrong hands, these devices have proven incredibly dangerous, capable of turning a normal human like Rukia Katana into a Dragon God.
Very few Sōru koa exist in the world of Deglas today, and probably for the better, as people like the Black Templar Leader strongly despise them for what they are capable of doing, and even the Gods strongly scorn the devices, as they consider the weapons proof of human arrogance in believing they are a superior species.
